The Digital Access Survey 

17 July 2020 – 31 Aug 2020

COMPETITION RULES

This Promotional Survey (the “Survey”) is organised by BMIT (Pty) Limited and/or their designated agencies (the “Promoter”).

The Survey is open to Participants who are permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 (eighteen) years, in possession of a valid South African Identity Document to qualify as a Participant for the Survey (referred to as “Participants/Entrants”).

Any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers and suppliers identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to BMIT its affiliates and/or associated companies are not allowed to enter the Survey (“Disqualified Participants”).

By entering the Survey, all Participants and Winners, agree to be bound by these rules as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right at any time without notice to amend, modify, or change these rules, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Survey and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.

The Survey commences on 17 July 2020 and ends 31 August 2020, both days inclusive (“the Duration”).

Participants stand a chance to win one of the following: (herein referred to as “Prizes”)

  • 5 x R2000 Takealot Vouchers
  • 5 x R1000 Takealot Vouchers
  • 10 x R500 Takealot Vouchers

One extra entry will be awarded to each registered user who invites someone to register and alsocomplete the survey.

To stand a chance of winning one of the Prizes, participants must:

  • Successfully register on the platform
  • Successfully complete the survey

Participants may complete the Surveyonce only.

Prize Rules

All Survey prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. The promoter reserves the right to substitute Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

All Prize Winners will be determined by random automatic selection draw on the draw date, which will take place within two calendar weeks of the final day of the survey.

The Promoter will communicate with the Winners telephonically or via email to arrange the issuing or their digital vouchers, to be redeemed online.

If the Promoter is unable to reach any Prize Winner after 3 (three) day from the date of being declared a Winner, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement Entry and Winner will take place.

All the Survey Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoter is not liable for any defect in the Prizes. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute Prize with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

In addition to any other verification requirements set out in these Rules, the Promoter may require the Prize Winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as supply a copy of their valid Identity Document within 24 hours of being confirmed a Winner, to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any Winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such Winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoter.

No liability shall attach to the Promoters in relation to any claims, losses or liabilities for any loss of profit or any other direct and/or indirect, special or consequential loss arising out of any of the Prizes. The Promoters are not liable for any defects in the Prizes. Ownership of and risk in, and benefit attaching to, the Giveaways will pass to you immediately.

Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of these Survey rules, the Promoters’ decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

All Participants, and the Winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents and suppliers identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to BMIT (pty) Ltd, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Promotion including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters and/or use of the Prizes).

The Promoters may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these Rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Giveaway and it shall revert back to the Promoters.

The Promoters may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Giveaways or after having received their Giveaways. The Promoters may also use the uploaded images in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters’ marketing material in so far as it relates to the Promotion.

By entering the Survey, the Participant agrees that BMIT and its affiliates (including the Promoter, subsidiaries, bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the Participant via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities. provided that the Participants are given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving marketing communication at any time via the appropriate opt-out mechanisms provided by the Promoter for such purpose.

Survey entries are subject to the following conditions:

Entries that are unclear, illegible, are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism or contain errors or from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid.
